8 v5 N! w1 a! o1. Applies technical expertise, commensurate with formal training and moderate job experience, in the development of products or processes. Work involves choosing between alternative proven technologies with some originality and moderate technical risk. Designs new products or major modifications to existing products having a few complex technical aspects. Complex work is subject to detailed review. Applies complete working knowledge of applicable technology and industry or company standards. Prepares all required technical documentation or data. Provides technical support of several products or a major part used on many products. Develops applicable processes.
/ r! E8 m( p% B h) U2. Interacts on a regular basis with other functional groups and customers or vendors on technical or administrative matters. May be assigned project leader role involving coordination of manufacturing, quality, and purchasing activities on assigned projects. Assists Marketing by providing technical, cost, and schedule information. Cost estimates are normally reviewed by supervisor. May have extensive interaction with customers regarding technical aspects of project. Contacts may be unsupervised. Recommends resource commitments to customer and vendors.& F- A2 Y" \) X6 E4 K
3. Prepares detailed plans, generally spanning several months, necessary to complete assigned projects. Develops and approves schedule milestones. Develops and coordinates manpower, facility, and equipment requirements for assigned projects.
2 {5 w- I7 L/ d) O! j4. Administers technical procedures. Assures Engineering Information System (EIS), Drafting Standard, and other design standards are met. Approves drawings and BOMs. Acts as design engineering member of Material Review Board. Initiates and approves engineering change authorization.$ l- T8 k1 y) R1 ]6 \. ~
Education/Training/Experience6 \" G5 M+ @' a" @
1. A minimum of 1-3 years of working experience, in mechanical design related areas.( G) A" o+ U, S
2. Bachelor or master degree in Engineering or Science from an engineering school. / F4 f/ a/ Z: H
3. Must communicate in English, reading/writing required, listening/speaking preferred. b- T4 S$ Y" B" @! P4 J+ K
4. Strong mechanical aptitude, experience in 3D/2D (Pro/E preferred).
