Mechanical Engineering Lead

Position Responsibilities$ m. H$ H( x! L2 x& l! e
Design of complex electro-mechanical assemblies & systems including aluminum chassis design, heatsink design, PCB packaging Perform thermal and strength FEA analysis and prepare reports on results Perform laboratory verification testing of electro-mechanical assemblies, including vibration, shock, and thermal testing Create production drawings for machined parts, plastic injection molded parts, sheet metal fabrication, mechanical sub-assemblies, PCB fabrication, PCB assemblies and associated parts lists Management of the mechanical engineering functions to facilitate the design, integration, verification, and production transfer of avionics hardware.

% l5 F; K$ l+ d! m! k0 C15 - 20 Years of aerospace electro-mechanical design and development experience including knowledge of electronics mechanical design practices and procedures
- e. n! C0 X1 O$ @6 a& r/ ]1 ^5 hKnowledge of IPC Standards for the design and manufacturing of electronics assemblies.7 C/ {, r" p$ o/ H; n# e
Knowledge of ASME Y14.100-2000 & Y14.5-1994 drawing requirements.
+ H$ E- }% c: @: l* }! W! @, PKnowledge of industry & military specifications for materials, parts, and processes.6 M) f. O! L& f2 a5 x( n7 `/ R5 T, f
Knowledge of various fabrication and assembly processes, including metal/plastics machining, plastic injection molding, sheet metal fabrication processes, brazing, welding, printed circuit board fabrication, printed circuit board assembly, and printed circuit board rework processes.; i6 H+ m% y5 M2 J
Technical knowledge of Electronics Packaging, Printed Wiring Board Layouts, Thermal Analysis, Strength Analysis2 X! Z! }7 P* }2 l
Previous experience in the management of aerospace development programs including cost and schedule management' J2 W* m. ]1 X+ O$ d
Proven accomplishments in positions of leadership managing various levels of mechanical engineers
) j+ f+ Y# k: N! K0 G( u2 }5 Y0 t: ~Working knowledge mechanical design and simulation tools such as PADS, AutoCAD, Cosmos Design Star, AutoDesk Mechanical Simulation9 V1 x* W. F) `8 G% K6 c; O' Q" D7 h
Experience with Microsoft Office including Word Excel, Powerpoint and Project
