Hi Andrew,
R&D in Taiwan cannot help us on this, because they could not understand the regulations.
Could you please contact the Chinese authorities, send them Italian motor specifications and find out if motors meet the regulations or not.
Please let me know if you need any additional details about Italian motors.
Thank you,
Marko

Hello Marko,
Jacky checked the regulation – but he cannot understand.
So I’m sorry – we cannot help you. I suggest you contact the authority to check with them which efficiency applies for your motor.
Kind regards
Mark

Hello Mark,
Just to follow up on this. Does Jacky had the opportunity to check the regulation requirements? We are waiting for this info in order to proceed with order of motors.
Many thanks,
Marko

Hello Jacky,
For the Fox Mist collector there are three different Motor sizes: 500, 1000 and 1500W (Word attachments).
In china there is a regulation about the minimum efficiency of electric motors (see PDF attachment).
Please check if the motors meet the regulation requirements!
Thanks
Mark

Hello Mark,
We are about to order electrical motors from Italy for first China Mist collector production. I would need your help to verify if our interpretation of Chinese new regulation is correct, particularly for 1.5kW motor.
Please find enclosed the extract of a Chinese new regulation and characteristics of the motors that are used for Fox mist collectors.
Our interpretation of the standard:
For the motor for WS500 (0.37kW) there are no efficiency restrictions.
For motors for WS1000 (0.75kW), min allowed efficiency is 77.5%
For motor for WS1500 (1.5kW), min allowed efficiency is 84.1%???.
Please let me know if you have anyone in your team who could double check this.
Many thanks and regards,
Marko

Hi Marko, referring to the efficiencies of electric motors, in Europe there are three levels of efficiency in ascending order, IE1, IE2, IE3.
Normally NO problem for 0,37 kW in the main nations IE1 is right! IE2 not necessary! In China, from what I checked, there should be an obligation (from this month?) to use electric motors with an efficiency more or less equivalent to IE2. In this regard, you can check if the efficiency 84.1% (for 1.5 kW ) is right? because 84.1% is the efficiency of an electric motor IE3 efficient.
Normally the efficiency IE2, of an electric motor of 1.5 kW is approximately 81.5%. For the 0.75kW, motor efficiency IE2 of our electric motor (BONANI IE2) is 77.6%. Not particular problem to send you IE2 efficiency motor…for IE3 efficiency motor the main problem is delivery time…(I think also the price… very high!)
Summarizing:
0,37 kW No problem IE1 is ok!
0,75 kW our BONANI IE2 electric motor is Ok!(increased price respect IE1)
For 1.5 Kw please verify if the efficiency requested in CHINA is really 84.1%(delivery time and high price!!)
For your information, in USA the technical people have verified that the IE2 motor is ok! for 0,75 and 1,5kW.
IE3 not necessary, because particular standard (EISA) have excluded the electric motor without feet (our motor is B5 form without feet), on IE3 efficiency requirements.
Many thanks
Ciao
Ambrogio

Hi Ambrogio,
According to new regulation in China, coming on power 1 of July 2011, all motors have to comply with grade II or grade I. For the motors 1.1kW to 90kW Chinese grades are equivalent to EU EFF1 and EFF2.
For the motor for WS500 (0.37kW, 2 pole motor) there are no efficiency restrictions.
For motors for WS1000 (0.75kW, 2 pole motor), min allowed efficiency is 77.5%
For motor for WS1500 (1.5kW, 2 pole motor), min allowed efficiency is 84.1%
Could you please check if Italian motors that you will ship us meet these requirements?
Many thanks,
Marko Dimitrijevic
