Measure the pitch diameter for the entire length of the threaded component with a ring gauge to ensure it is within spec. . P: E, e$ g q1 }6 I. s t' n/ u6 B7 X2. With an optical comparator, measure the reference surface to the furthest "measurable" basic pitch diameter away from the reference surface.
